Social Media Manager

The Manny Yekutiel for District 8 Supervisor campaign is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Manager for the upcoming November 2026 General Election. This is a great opportunity to shape the campaign's digital presence and storytelling, alongside a dedicated campaign team.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the campaign's goals, managing a robust content calendar across all organic social media channels

  • Create compelling photo, video, and written content tailored for each platform, ensuring alignment with the campaign's key messages and brand

  • Attend in-person campaign events across District 8 to capture content and provide direction to staff on photo and video needs. An example might be a house party in a supporter’s home where Manny is meeting folks from the neighborhood and hearing about issues that are important to them 

  • Manage day-to-day community engagement across social media platforms, monitoring and responding to comments and DMs, and fostering a sense of belonging among supporters

  • Identify and activate content creators with a strong online presence as collaborators and validators to amplify campaign messaging

  • Analyze social media metrics across platforms and provide regular performance reports to the Campaign Manager and Consultants

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in social media management, content creation, and digital communications

  • Strong photography and videography skills tailored to organic social media 

  • Passion for sparking joy with audiences – a sense of fun and out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to creating content - wacky ideas are welcome!  

  • High level of interest in telling constituents’ stories - we want to highlight our amazing community 

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment - you need to be comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative

  • Love for San Francisco

Note: This role is not a regular Monday-through-Friday, 9-5 position. This full time position will require flexible work hours, including nights and weekends, to successfully capture content and tell our story.
